Cranberries are a hot topic. So much so that in 2015 there was the Cranberry Health Research conference 2015. One of the papers from that conference reviews the role that cranberries play on the gut microbiota and that effect on cardiovascular and metabolic health. Cranberries, like many other foods effect the microbiota in our gut. We're finding that the microbiota in turn affect most systems in the body. If we're looking for a place to start in fixing poor health, we really need to start with nutrition and the gut.
