Jessica Seaton, D.C., D.A.B.C.O., is a board certified Chiropractic Orthopedist, who has been in private practice in West Los Angeles Since 1987.
A running injury first brought Dr. Seaton into a chiropractic clinic, where she was treated successfully. She became intrigued with chiropractic’s approach to healing by human touch, and without drugs and surgery. She also felt that chiropractic care could make a real difference in the quality of a person’s life.

She completed the Team Physician Course through the American College of Sports Medicine in 1993. Her interest in herbs led her to a certificate in Botanical Medicine from Western States Chiropractic College in 1998. In 2008 Dr. Seaton completed an intensive course in alternative medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine (Applying Functional Medicine in Clinical Practice). She is currently enrolled in the Functional Medicine certificate program through the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Dr. Seaton has been increasingly devoting herself to wellness care. In addition to exercise and rehabilitation programs, she has expanded her offerings in nutrition and mind-body medicine.
Previously, Dr. Seaton earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) cum laude from California State University Northridge in 1979.
Dr. Seaton became interested in Sports Medicine through her years as an active athlete. She is an avid swimmer and member of United States Masters Swimming (USMS). She has competed in many national and international swimming championships, as well as numerous local meets. She has been on the USMS Sports Medicine Committee for many years and committee chairperson 2001-2005. Many of her swimming related articles have appeared on the web (www.spma.net) and in the magazine for USMS, as well as local swimming newsletters.
In addition to swimming, Dr. Seaton practices yoga, lifts weights, runs, bicycles, and hikes regularly. In August 2007 she successfully hiked Mount Whitney (14,496 feet) in one day. She has completed three marathons, as well as three century rides (100 mile rides) on the bicycle, and several triathlons. She does both downhill and cross country skiing in the winter.
