Chiropractic Adjustments Help Neck Pain

A recent study performed in Spain showed that a single chiropractic adjustment of the neck may significantly benefit neck pain. The study group consisted of 25 males and 45 females with mechanical neck pain. Half of the participants received a high velocity, low amplitude manipulation (dynamic adjustment), while the other half had their neck treated with mobilization maneuvers. Both groups improved, but the group receiving the dynamic adjustment improved more in both mobility and decrease in pain. Improved neck mobility was associated with decreased neck pain.
